Task Management - Feature List
Share Tasks
When you create a task list you become the
owner of that list and you control who has
access to that list. You can allocate 'read
only' or 'read/write' permission to other
users. So, in a workgroup environment
several users can share and update the same
task list.
Planner View
The Planner view allows you to convert tasks into a Gantt Chart and record percentage
completion figures for each task.
Delegate Tasks
If you wish to delegate work you can create
individual task lists for your staff and
have them update their lists with progress.
User Defined Fields
You can configure Tasks by adding your own tabs and fields. You
can have as many tabs and fields as you like and you can specify your own tab
and field names. All the usual field formats are supported. e.g. drop down
lists, checkboxes, text, numeric, date.
Configure Columns
You can customise your own personal view of the Task List by:
-
Configuring which columns are displayed
-
Configuring the order in which the columns
are displayed
-
Including any 'user defined fields'
which you have set up
Sort on Columns
In the Task List window you can click on the column headings to sort task
columns in ascending or descending order. For example, sorting on the Priority
column allows you to sequence tasks in priority order.
Search for Tasks
The Search facility allows you to find all tasks that match the search
criteria.
The search checks all fields in the contact record. e.g. Task name,
Description, etc (including any 'user defined fields that you have set up)
Moving Tasks
Moving tasks is easy .... just 'drag and drop' them to another task list.
Replicate Tasks
You might need to completely replicate a task list and all its tasks in order to manage an identical activity.
You can replicate the task list to produce a duplicate which you can amend as required.
