How to - share diaries, contact groups, task lists, and email folders
MyOffice is built around the principle of sharing data online with other users in
your account. With that in mind, Diaries, Contact Groups, Task Lists and Email
Folders can all be shared with other users by a very similar method. The following
walk-throughs demonstrate how to share Diaries, Contact Groups, Task Lists and Email
folders. Once you've mastered sharing for one area of the application, it's very
likely that you'll be able to
apply that knowlege to the other areas. However, if
you are having trouble with another area, you can also come back here and work through
the example in question.
The principle of sharing is based around configuring a function (e.g. Diary) to
be accessable by one or more users. The configuration is done from the diary 'end'
as opposed to editing a user and giving them permissions. Each of the functions
(diaries, contact groups, email folders and task lists) has a 'Permissions' tab
and this is used to control the users who have access to the function. This 'sharing'
principle applies throughout MyOffice.
