Inbox Rules

You can set up inbox rules to automatically move incoming emails to designated folders, block emails from specific senders and block attachments with specific file extensions.

All blocked emails are moved to a Quarantine folder.

To configure Inbox Rules:

  • In the Email  window, click the Tools menu and select the Inbox Rules option.

  • In the Incoming Emails window, click the Rules, Blocked Senders or Blocked Attachments tab depending upon what you want to configure.

    Rules Tab

    Maintain the list of rules using the New, Edit and Delete buttons.

    Rules consist of a Condition and a Result to be executed when the condition occurs.

    Blocked Senders Tab

    Maintain the list of blocked email addresses using the New, Edit and Delete buttons.

    Blocked Attachments Tab

    Maintain the list of blocked attachment types using the New, Edit and Delete buttons.

  • Click the OK button to close the window

Tip

You can 'drive' incoming emails to a shared folder by entering the email address in the 'Text to look for' condition and checking the Recipients checkbox.
